Citogen’s Genetic Identification Unit was the first private laboratory accredited by the Entidad Nacional de Accreditation (ENAC) in accordance with the requirements of the UNE-EN standard. UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 for the performance of DNA testing in the visa applications in cases of family reunification, and the only one that can certify the analysis for stem cells, adipocytes and cells in suspension.

Since our founding in 1990, we have been pioneers in the analysis of DNA (until March 2023, through the subsidiary Genómica).

We are Citogen’s genetic identification laboratory, a unique in both its inspiration and its approach to business and its achievements.

The DNA test uses the genetic material or acid deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) present in all the cells of the body, determines the relationship between two or more individuals.

Genetic fingerprinting is also called DNA testing or DNA fingerprinting. DNA analysis is the technique used to distinguish individuals from each other using samples of their DNA.
The degree of certainty is never 100% because of a statistical reason, even though the mathematical value is sufficiently high to be resolute when both parents are involved.
